top 10 animal parents

to day in continuing my top ten animal list today I'm going  going to do the top ten animal moms and dads according to animal planets starting with dads

#10 the lion
even this lazy cat is a good father when he's a wake and is keeping a eye on the kids but when he is up and about he is a great provider and don't even think of going after his twenty  kittens give or take a few kittens or your for supper.

#9 antechinus
this super hyper active sex freak is so desperate to have children he would die to be able to have kids and actual quit literally does during the mating season his inter body gets so controlled by the season he goes non stop for 12 hour forgetting to get food or drink and other essential needs to survive as well as having over dose of steroids that they die after there stamina is completely depleted but they will defiantly have lots of kids. so hows that for father ship.

#8 golden jackal
this dad always spends quality time with the kids going hunting with them when they are old enough teaching them the ropes of scavenging and they won't have to worry about devourse because jackals mate till death do they part and dads bring the groceries home predigested yum?

#7 giant water bug
the mother  water bug lays her 150 eggs on the back of the father a secures them with a special water proof  glue  till the hatch witch is usually around a week. personally i don't think that is big enough for number 7 in the daddy scale.

#6 rhea
the male rhea has a harem of 2 to 12 females now you might think that would be a perfect life for a guy but as soon as they say honey I've laid a egg that's when life gets harder because after that the females leave him a go of a join a other males harem leaving him to keep care of all the eggs himself by first incubating them for 2 months with only 2 weeks worth of food to to live off of then when they hatch has to keep care of all of them for two years.

#5 stickleback
this fish is real ladies an he actual builds a nest with various materials he can a glues them together with a water proof glue called stickleback glue then when a female comes around and decides to stay awhile till she lays some eggs and  he fertilizes them for some reason though after words the male chases  her away from the nest perhaps the females are crazy in the sense that they will have the eggs but then want to destroy them. after dad chases mom away he spends half the day fanning the eggs to try and make sure the have enough oxygen rich water over them at 400 beats a minute witch is probably quit a work out.
#4 jacana
this father has some real relationship issues when choosing a mate because for some reason they seem to be attract to insane females because after they have their eggs she dumps him and flies of with a other bird and quit often she will try for some wacko reason of hers to come back and destroy her eggs and yet that seems to be popular with the males because they all ways give her a second chance

                                  #3 giant African bullfrog
this dad has a big mouth literally he eats anything that will fit inside of it which is a relatively good amount of things including his kids after the female lays the eggs and he fertilizes them he gobbles them all up and stores them in his vocal sacs for six weeks that most be cause quit the sore throat and making the saying frog in the throat quit literal and then when the eggs hatch he pukes them up so the can swim away and turn it to adult grown up frogs.
#2 emperor penguin
this dad is probably the toughest dad on the list the reason this is not only do they live in Antarctica the coldest place on earth but they also have to keep care of there egg till and after it hatches by holding it in between there feet to keep it warm quit often gathering together in large groups to share heat while mom goes off and fish's for two months while dad has to wait without food and is mom there for the hatching no she is still stuffing her belly full while dad has to puke up it's kids first meal from it's remaining reserves of nutrients till mom comes back.
#1 seahorse
this is probably the oddest dad ever the reason why i say this is because hes the original pregnant man because obviously hes the one who gives birth with a thousand babies not the mom. mom and dads relationship starts with a courtship dance after words the mom lays the eggs in the dad at the same time dad fertilizes them. but before he won the award for best dad competition trophy it a he was found eating his own kids so he lost the trophy but stile won first on the animal planet list.

now the top ten moms

#10 the elephant
a mother elephant is on the list because of they have to go through a 22 month pregnancy as well as have to give birth to a 200 pound baby which is the largest baby born compared to the size of the mother also elephant calf's are born blind so  the use their trunk to learn by touch till they gain there eye sight so the mother has to help them get around and learn and protect them also because elephant females live in a closely connect herd all the other elephants in the herd help keep care of the young. also if the mother dies a other females usually takes over and adopts the the young elephant also i think I've heard that females elephants have even adopt stray baby elephants who have some how lost their mom and the rest of its herd some how so i would say that elephants deserve a spot in this list probably even then some of the others that are higher up in the list.
#9 koala
the koala eats only the highly poisonous leaves from the eucalyptus tree witch she can eat do to a special bacteria that lives in there stomach that detoxifies the leaves so there but baby koalas or koala joeys don't have this bacteria (along with ears, eyes and fur) when there born so the mom feeds them her poop transferring bacteria from her stomach to them in a gross way but it works, but that only happens after the can eat solid foods before that they drink milk like all mammals but a somewhat unique thing about them is they are for the first 6 months in side a pouch were it feeds on milk and grows the rest of its body parts but the mother doesn't lose any sleep because they sleep for 22 hours.

            #8 alligator
mother alligators lay there eggs in a pile of rotting plant matter that helps keep the eggs warm and helps determine there gender if its tops 91 degrees its a boy if it 88 or below its a girl but if it's to cold or warm then scrambled eggs or or frozen yolk. the mother when they hatch carries them in her mother to the water were they ll spend there first few years eating insects, small fish and other small and easy prey.

#7 polar bear
polar moms spend only one night with dad and then dad leaves with her most likely pregnant. polar bear moms when they are pregnant they have to gain and keep 400 pounds or there body will reabsorb the growing fetus as a way to try and insure the moms survival but the fetus dies obviously. After she packs on the pounds, the polar bear has one of the easiest labors on record. She digs a maternity den (usually in a snowdrift), where she goes into a hibernation-like state, doesn't eat for two months and also sleeps through the baby's birth. Can you imagine? "Push!" "Zzzzzz." "One more!" "Zzzzzz." Newborns are blind and toothless (not my joke). after there born polar bear cubs usually stay with there mother for around 2 years before heading out on there own.

#6 cheetah
cheetah moms give birth to 4-6 kittens that need to be taught what they have to know to survive like hunting skills and how to prevent from being prey witch usually takes two years to do after witch the mom leaves to start a other family while the siblings remain behind and form a sibling group called a Sib group after 6 months the females separate from the group but the males stay together for life.

#5 orangutan
orangutans are highly intelligent and resourceful they make new bed out of leaves and Branchs every night doing this over 30000 times during there average lifespan orangutan moms never let go of there young and nurse them 6-7 years the longest amount of time any animal is dependent on there mom for milk. males mostly only come around to mate also males separate from their mothers sooner then a female who stay longer to learn mothering skills from there mother.

#4 red knobbed hornbill
Red-knobbed hornbills live on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, mothers make there nest in holes in trees to protect there eggs from predators like monitor lizards to do this the narrow the entrance to their nest with there own poop as well  as siting on the eggs through the entire 2 month incubation time without house delivery from the dad.

#3 elephant seal
this mom ways 1700 pounds before she became pregnant gaining what daily  during the 11 month pregnancy but that nothing compared to there partner who ways four times that amount but after birth lose 600 pounds while nursing in less then a month

#2 octopus
a female octopus lays 50000 eggs on average witch take around 40 days to hatch during witch the mom stay close to them the entire time protecting them from predators and blowing oxygen rich water over them not even leaving to hunt so to feed herself she eats her arms which can grow back later.

                                                             #1 sea louse
not only dose this mom find out that her husband has a cave full of wife but he has to have his own graveyard for them and previous and future wife's because when there ready to give birth its young quit literal eat their way out of there mom.i would say that is the worst child birth ever so other moms shouldn't complain about contractions and stuff because for this they mean the beginning of the end.
